ALBA ARRIAGA ROMANO

Since 1987, Alba's practice has been exclusively in civil defense litigation. In 2002, Alba returned to Riley, Hewitt, Witte & Romano, P.C., having been associated with many of her present partners at Riley & DeFalice, P.C. from 1988 to 1993.

From 1993 to 1999, she worked at insurance defense firms and as trial counsel for CNA Insurance Company. In 2000, Alba opened and managed the Pittsburgh office of a Philadelphia insurance defense firm.

Her trial experience has been in the areas of products liability, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, insurance coverage, professional liability, asbestos defense and asbestos litigation management.

Alba has managed caseloads of over 10,000 plaintiffs nationwide, including discovery, witness development, trial work and negotiations. She has practiced in federal and state courts in various states and has been selected to serve as an arbitrator in statutory arbitration panels in Pennsylvania.

Alba is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and the International Association of Defense Counsel.

Alba is married to Vince Romano and has two daughters, Gabriella and Isabella. She is active with her daughters at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Alba enjoys jogging, pilates, yoga and piano.
