CARMEN A. MARTUCCI
Carmen joined Riley, Hewitt, Witte & Romano, P.C. in May 2003. Carmen's education, prior to beginning his legal career, included obtaining both his BA and MA in English Literature. He taught courses at both Duquesne University and the Community College of Beaver County before returning to college to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University in 1991, just as his father, Anthony J. Martucci, had in 1948.

For the first five years of his legal career, Carmen worked as a solo practitioner and was involved in general practice and in a variety of fields, including plaintiff's work, contract law, family law, municipality law, and workers' compensation.

In 1997, Carmen began working as an associate with the law firm of Zimmer Kunz, P.C. concentrating in general liability defense work. Initially, he worked defending civil rights and discrimination lawsuits in both Pennsylvania federal and state courts, and his work was instrumental in obtaining a number of summary judgments.

In 1999, Carmen began concentrating on asbestos defense work and assumed lead defense responsibility on numerous cases in Allegheny County. Clients included manufacturers of several products relative to steel manufacturing, plumbing, power plants, and construction companies.
